About the unit
History
Gupta Neonatal Hospital, established as a dream project by Dr Ravinder Gupta in the year 1996 and was inaugurated by professor Dr Anil Narang (PGI Chandigarh) with the soul purpose to provide high standards of care to newborns and children, so that none of them is deprived of a tertiary care facility.
We being one of the largest units have about 800 admissions per annum. This unit has 4 separate areas – consisting of two ICU’s (Intensive Care Unit) area and two Paediatric care units (Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and Paediatric General Ward).Our NICU is a 30 bedded level III unit, equipped with 11 ventilated beds each with wall mounted new generation multi-parameter monitors with inbuilt pulmonary graphics. Each ventilator bed is connected to a central monitoring system which allows continuous monitoring of babies. All babies are nursed in thermo-neutral environment under radiant warmer.
Strength of the unit comes from the “State of the Art” services rendered in the hospital, which attracts large number of high-risk admissions. NICU services are covered by 4 consultant neonatologists, along with 4 visiting consultants. We have a nurse: baby ratio of 1:2 for intensive care area and 1:3 nurse: baby ratio for babies not requiring intensive care. Apart from newborn care area, unit also offers a special lactation room where mothers are provided lactation counselling and can also express their milk with help of breast pumps by our in house lactation consultant, accredited by the International Board of Lactational Certified Examiners(IBCLE).

Ayushman Bharat
Ayushman Bharat is National Health Protection Scheme, which will cover over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families (approximately 50 crore beneficiaries) providing coverage upto 5 lakh rupees per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.
Government of Haryana
The Haryana Government has formulated a new Empanelment Policy for the empanelment of Private Hospitals and Clinical Laboratories for providing treatment to government employees, pensioners and their dependents in the state, under which the interested NABH or JCI accredited hospitals and laboratories can apply.

National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programme for healthcare organisations.
